I had the overwhelming joy of viewing a proper antique and vintage wares emporium over the recent holdiay weekend.  It took up the whole of a former coaching inn and there were hundreds of little enclaves and rooms where sellers had a few racks and cabinets with their precious wares for sale.  What I particularly liked was the vintage housewares.  I saw some gorgeous windows for front doors, vintage style letter boxes.  Pantiles were available outside, all kinds of reclamation yard stuff was available to buy or order and where something was out of stock, the seller would know just how to get hold of more.  It was a truly exhiliarating experience and I was totally gobsmacked when we went back indoors to tour the very top floor that held the vintage clothing !  I could feel a Forties moment coming on ready for the Glenn Miller festival coming up soon!
