This time of year is fab. For a variety of reasons too. The weather has markedly improved – the torrential rain and incredibly winds have gone until lat summer and the temperatures are soaring. This in itself is great although the last couple of years, the first week of Wimbledon has been frighteningly hot – not only SW19 but the entire european mainland. Then the second week has been a complete wash out with rain like stair rods. This dirupts not only the tennis, but also the cricket test matches and all the gardening shows that are being held at major houses up and down the country. We like to garden of course – often we find ourselves trying to mow the lawn between stop, start showers. Having the best designed garden is a plus – some shelters perhaps dotted along a path if it’s a long garden. Maybe a shed that doubles as a sun room with doors that open out – now there’s a great shelter from the elements!
